About Cedar House

A great place to unwind, the peaceful village of Old Cleeve is away from the main roads yet the location is ideal for exploring and enjoying the Exmoor National Park, Dunster Castle, the Quantock Hills and the Brendon Hills. Perfect for cyclists, walkers or exploring by car.  It's just over a mile from the beach at Blue Anchor and the West Somerset Steam Railway runs nearby too.

Cedar House was built in 1906 as an  gentleman’s Edwardian  set in it's own grounds. The house has some of the most stunning, uninterrupted views in the area - overlooking Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, the Coast and Wales beyond. The steam engines of the West Somerset Railway passing by, the starry nights and some wonderful sunsets all add to the magical setting. It is the ideal base for exploring the area, Dunster Castle, the quaint villages and wonderful village pubs.

After a peaceful night's sleep, get the day off to a great start with a full Somerset breakfast or something else from the extensive breakfast menu.

Kay and Eric look forward to welcoming you to their home.
